An Apology

An apology is a friendship preserver,

Is often a debot of honor,

IS never a sign of weakness,

Is an antidote for hatred,

Costs nothing but one's pride,

And always saves more than it costs,

Is needed in every home.

What a lot we take for granted!

When Carl Linnaeus the great Swedish botanist, visited England, he saw, for the first time in his life, a gorse bush in full flower.  It is said that he was so overwhelmed by it's beauty that he instantly knelt before it, giving thanks to God.

Let us open our eyes and our hearts today and look at the wonders around us for the first time.

Yule Lads

The Yule Lads were originally portrayed as being mischievous, or even criminal, pranksters that would steal from, or in other way harass the population (at the time mostly rural farmers).

We vowed to try something new each week

Strombolis turned out great.  So great we had enough for two in the freezer.
